Privacy Policy

This page explains how PDF MetaData handles account information, uploaded PDFs, analytics, and other data processed while operating the service.

Last updated: March 17, 2026

Information We Collect

PDF MetaData collects the information needed to operate the service, secure accounts, and analyze uploaded PDF files.

  • Account data such as name, email address, encrypted password credentials, Credits balance, purchase activity, and account role.
  • Uploaded file data, generated analysis results, storage references, and activity history associated with your account.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device data, request logs, and security signals used to detect misuse or abuse.
  • Product analytics and performance data that help us understand usage patterns, improve reliability, and measure service quality.

How We Use Information

We use personal and technical information to provide the service you request, authenticate users, calculate Credit-based features, store analysis history, protect the platform, and improve the product.

We may also use service data to troubleshoot failures, investigate suspicious activity, comply with legal obligations, and communicate important operational or policy updates.

File Uploads and Analysis Results

When you upload a PDF, the file may be processed to extract metadata, generate structured analysis, and store private history entries linked to your account.

Uploaded files and generated reports may be retained for product functionality, dashboard access, fraud prevention, backup, and operational recovery based on the actions you enable, your account activity, and the needs of the service.

Service Providers and Sharing

We may share data with infrastructure and software providers that help us host the application, authenticate users, store files, analyze traffic, monitor errors, and operate the service.

We do not sell uploaded PDF content as a standalone data product. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, or in connection with a business transfer, merger, or asset sale.

Retention

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account history, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on whether the information relates to an active account, uploaded files, billing or Credits records, analytics, or security logs.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect account data and uploaded files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying the service operator if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. You may also be able to object to certain processing or request a copy of your data.

To exercise those rights, contact the operator of this deployment using the support channel published for the live service. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

Children's Privacy

PDF MetaData is not directed to children under 13, and the service should not be used to knowingly submit personal information from children without appropriate authorization.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page and publish the revised version at this URL.
